As an important carrier for recording the development process and achievements of the Internet, the Blue Book also summarizes the current development of the Internet in China. The reporter noticed that in the comprehensive ranking of China's Internet Development Index in 2023, Guangdong's Internet development level ranks first in the country, and the network security index ranks first in the country. In the blue book, it is mentioned that Guangdong Province is coordinating to promote the construction of a strong network province and a digital Guangdong, accelerating the construction of technologically advanced and nationally leading network infrastructure. A total of 232000 5G base stations have been built, and the 5G network has achieved continuous outdoor coverage in all counties (districts) and main urban areas, basic coverage in all townships and major areas. The scale of 5G base stations and users ranks first in the country.
