The "2023 National Thousand Strong Towns Development Report" was recently released, and a total of 112 towns in Guangdong were selected as the 2023 National Thousand Strong Towns, ranking third in the country. The strength of Yushan Town relies on the strong support of the industrial economy. The Kunshan High tech Zone where the town is located is the first national high-tech industry development zone located in a county-level city in China, with 1037 high-tech enterprises, 1212 technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises, and a total of over 10 listed enterprises. In 2022, the electronic information and high-end equipment industries in Yushan Town achieved output values of 79.5 billion yuan and 52.74 billion yuan, respectively, ranking first in the city. Guangdong, on the other hand, is the only province in China with two hundred billion towns, all located in Foshan City, namely Shishan Town in Nanhai District and Beijiao Town in Shunde District. Shishan Town has a GDP of 131.349 billion yuan in 2022. At present, Shishan Town has around 15000 industrial enterprises, forming six pillar industries with an annual output value of over 10 billion yuan, including automotive vehicle and component manufacturing, high-end equipment manufacturing, optoelectronics, new materials, non-ferrous metals, and biomedicine. Among them, the output value of the automotive industry exceeds one hundred billion yuan. Such a huge economic volume not only rivals over half of the top 100 counties in China, but also surpasses many prefecture level cities in China. Beijiao Town is known as a "Chinese home appliance manufacturing hub", with a GDP exceeding 100 billion yuan in 2022, becoming the second "100 billion town" in Guangdong. Led by two locally born Fortune 500 companies, Midea and Country Garden, Beijiao Town has formed multiple industrial clusters, including intelligent home appliances, high-end equipment, and robots. The home appliance industry in Beijiao Town started from township enterprises and has built the largest production base for home appliances such as air conditioners and rice cookers in China.
