"Gong Ke, former chairman of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations and executive director of the China New Generation Artificial Intelligence Development Strategy Research Institute, said that as of the end of September, the global 5G network population coverage rate had reached 36.8%, with 59 countries and regions having a 5G network population coverage rate of over 50%, and the global 5G users had reached 1.428 billion, with China's 5G users accounting for more than half. In Gong Ke's view, the large-scale development of the 5G industry must rely on dual wheel drive on the demand side and supply side. To this end, he suggested implementing classified strategies to expand industry breadth, promote large-scale replication of application scenarios, accelerate the implementation of integrated terminals, and promote the construction of 5G factories to go deeper and more practical; Gradually introduce 5G incremental, replacement, and transformation applications, promoting the large-scale penetration of applications from peripheral links to core links.
