Outlook New Era Network

2023-10-31

According to a report from the Beijing Daily client on October 29th, Shanghai police recently launched the "Public Security Traffic Management Service Network Map" function on the "Traffic Management 12123" app. This function integrates information such as network addresses and required materials for vehicle and driving management services from multiple perspectives, providing citizens with more convenient search and guidance services. This is the first pilot of this feature nationwide. This map reflects the refined services of urban public management. For example, by clicking on "Renew Driver's License", the system will display a list of available branches by distance based on the location of the phone. Users can click on the middle part of the screen to explain the reason for renewing their license, so that the system can more accurately recommend available branches. After the user selects a branch to go to, the page will display information such as the address, contact phone number, and available business scope of the branch. Clicking on the "map" sign also allows for direct navigation. This "map of public security traffic management service outlets" is also a convenient map in a sense, highlighting the integration of refined urban governance and new technologies, and the alignment with the urgent needs of citizens. It further reflects the governance concept of "people's cities built by the people, and people's cities for the people". In recent years, a number of typical cases of drawing convenience maps have emerged in various regions, such as the "Mosquito Map" and "Accessibility Map" in Shenzhen, the "Shanghai 'Stall' Service Map" in Shanghai, the "Minor Repair and Supplementary Convenience Map" in Dongguan, the "Barbecue Map" in Zibo, the "Shuishui Map" in Ningbo, and the "Migrant Worker Map" in Yingtan. In 2021, Beijing launched the "12345 Service Map", which covers sports and tourism, traffic management, party and mass services, civil affairs, etc., from "mosquito bite map" to "red leaf map", from "tax service map" to "air quality map" and "parking point map", reflecting the continuous upgrading of service attitude and governance ability. The goal of promoting high-quality development is to ensure the happiness and well-being of the people. To achieve this goal, city managers cannot be "outpatient cadres" in the office, waiting for the public to come and reflect on problems. Instead, their focus should be shifted downwards, and meeting the people's desire for a better life should be the starting point and foothold of digital government construction, creating a comprehensive, accessible, intelligent, and convenient environment A fair and inclusive digital service system. By drawing a convenient map for the people, the department can shift from "sitting at the door for consultation" to "actively seeking consultation", and the masses can "look for doors everywhere" to "follow the map", thus forming a new era of "Fengqiao experience" of "no conflicts, no accidents, and no lack of service", enhancing the sense of gain, happiness, and security of the people. The drawing of convenient maps is only better, not the best. In order to further do good deeds and practical things, the convenience map needs to be updated in a timely manner. The service blind spots on the map need to be turned into governance highlights, so that the map can better play its role. Each region should shift from a functional orientation that focuses on efficiency and a form orientation that emphasizes spatial appearance to an effect orientation that is closer to the daily needs of residents, in order to investigate and solve the needs of citizens, and shift from passive handling to active governance.
