On October 30th, the final of the Beijing Maternal and Child Health Vocational Skills Competition was fiercely held, with 80 elite medical personnel in the field of maternal and child health standing out from over 2500 participants. In 2022, the maternal and infant mortality rates were 2.97/100000 and 1.26 ‰, respectively, reaching international advanced levels. The quality of women's health care services has been continuously upgraded. The screening rate of women's common diseases has increased from 29.43% to 87.51%. The early diagnosis rate of cervical cancer and breast cancer has remained at 98% and 80% respectively, and the treatment rate is close to 100%. The relevant person in charge of the Municipal Health Commission stated that this competition is divided into six events: critical care for pregnant and postpartum women, critical care for newborns, child eye care, cervical cancer prevention and treatment, family planning critical care, and grassroots maternal and child health care. Through the competition, it is hoped that it can inspire maternal and child health workers in the city to improve their theoretical level, professional skills, and professional literacy, thereby promoting the construction of a high-quality talent team. It is understood that for a long time, this city has attached great importance to the cultivation of maternal and child health talents, and continues to provide assistance for the development of maternal and child health. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, nearly 500 pre marital and pre pregnancy health care personnel have been trained, 4400 new midwives have been employed, 350 obstetric discipline leaders have been trained, 4000 obstetric backbone personnel have been trained, and 3500 prenatal screening and diagnosis personnel have been trained. Continuously carry out specialized training on homogenization of newborn stabilization camps and newborn resuscitation teams, with a total of over 10000 trainees. Train more than 13000 personnel in the integrated prevention and treatment of children's growth and development, nutritional feeding, eye health, psychological health, oral health, and congenital heart disease, and create 100 technically qualified neonatal resuscitation teams. 5000 pre job training sessions for family planning, training over 12000 technical and management personnel in 9 specialties such as cervical cytology and breast ultrasound, and nearly 500 grassroots maternal and child health care backbone personnel. The maternal and child health services in this city continue to improve, with maternal and infant mortality rates of 2.97/100000 and 1.26 ‰ respectively in 2022, reaching international advanced levels. Maternity and maternal health services serve as birth protection, and the service rate of the maternal system has increased from 97.74% in 2012 to 99.43% in 2022. Children's health services provide growth assistance, with the system service rate for children under 3 years old and the health service rate for children under 7 years old increasing from 89.85% and 97.92% to 96.66% and 99.24%, respectively. The coverage rate of eye health care and vision examinations for children aged 0-6 reached 98.91%. Women's health care services promoted quality upgrading. The screening rate of women's common diseases increased from 29.43% to 87.51%.
