On the morning of October 29th, the Second General Conference and Expo of the Boao Forum for Asia Global Economic Development and Security Forum opened at the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center. Tulke, Honorary Chairman of the Boao Forum on Economic and Social Security, Li Baodong, Secretary General of the Boao Forum for Asia, former Philippine President Arroyo, a member of the Boao Forum for Asia, and Li Dianxun, Deputy Secretary of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee, attended the opening ceremony. Arroyo and Li Dianxun delivered speeches, and Zhou Haibing, Deputy Governor of the Hunan Provincial People's Government, Deputy Secretary of the Changsha Municipal Party Committee, and Mayor, presided over the ceremony. It is hoped that the Boao Forum for Asia can provide direction for this effort. Li Dianxun, a member of the Boao Forum for Asia and former Philippine President Arroyo, delivered a speech in which he pointed out that development carries the aspirations of people from all countries for a better life, and security concerns the international community. The theme of this conference is global development and shared security, which is in line with the universal concerns of the international community and has important and far-reaching significance. By taking global development and shared security as the main body, we can explore the challenges faced by current development and security together. Through face-to-face communication and dialogue, we can promote friendly cooperation among various forces, which is more conducive to maintaining global security and promoting global development. Former Secretary General of the United Nations and Chairman of the Boao Forum for Asia, Ban Ki moon, previously mentioned that the United Nations' vision of "2030 sustainable development" is also consistent with the vision of a community with a shared future for mankind and the Boao Forum for Economic and Security. Zeng Weixiong also mentioned that in recent years, a series of international situations such as geopolitical and economic globalization have undergone significant changes, which are both risks and opportunities. This requires us to work together from multiple parties.
