As the world's largest market for industrial robots, China installed 290258 units in 2022, a year-on-year increase of 5%, setting a new record for 2021. Since 2017, the average annual growth rate of robot installation has been 13%. Following closely behind is Japan, with a 9% increase in installation volume in 2022, reaching 50413 units, exceeding the level of 2019 but not exceeding the historical peak of 55240 units in 2018. Since 2017, its average annual growth rate of robot installation has been 2%. It is worth noting that Japan, as the world's main robot manufacturing country, accounts for 46% of the global robot production. In Europe, Germany is one of the top five purchasing countries globally, with a 1% decrease in installation to 25636 units. In the Americas, the installation of robots in the United States increased by 10% in 2022, reaching 39576 units, slightly lower than the peak level of 40373 units in 2018. The driving force for its growth is concentrated in the automotive industry, which installed 14472 units in 2022, with a growth rate of 47%. The proportion of robots deployed in the industry has rebounded to 37%; Then there are the metal and mechanical industries and the electrical/electronic industries, with installed quantities of 3900 units and 3732 units in 2022, respectively.
