The relevant person in charge of the border inspection station of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge introduced that on the 29th, more than 2100 Hong Kong single license plate vehicles entered and exited through the Zhuhai Highway Port of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge, breaking through 3000 vehicles for the first time on the 30th and breaking the record for the highest daily clearance for two consecutive days. According to reports, starting from 16:30 on the 29th, the Zhuhai Highway Port of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge has experienced a peak of passenger and vehicle flow, lasting for over 7 hours. From around 9:00 to 16:30 on the 30th, the port once again experienced a peak in inbound traffic flow. On the same day, the station inspected nearly 50000 inbound passengers and over 7000 inbound vehicles, which were 1.8 times and 1.45 times the number of outbound vehicles, respectively. The number of inbound vehicles broke the record for a single day since the opening of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge. The person in charge stated that in response to the peak traffic and passenger flow, the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge border inspection station has upgraded its "one-stop" border inspection subsystem multiple times, increasing the maximum number of vehicles inspected per hour on one side of the port to 700 vehicles, and the inspection efficiency has significantly increased by 46% compared to before this year; Continuously strengthen the linkage with the Hong Kong side, establish an effective, direct, and flexible linkage mechanism, timely grasp the dynamics of passenger and vehicle flow, scientifically allocate frontline duty police forces, and ensure full operation and inspection channels during peak hours.
