The 2023 Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) opened on the 20th in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province. State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong attended and delivered a keynote speech. Wang Xiaohong pointed out that in the context of the accelerated evolution of the century long changes, the international community is experiencing rare multiple risk challenges. With the vision and goal of building a community with a shared future, we will discuss major plans for public safety cooperation, deepen exchanges and cooperation in the field of public safety, and promote the development of the global public safety governance system towards a more fair, reasonable, and efficient direction. Wang Xiaohong expressed that China is willing to share its experience in public security governance with countries around the world, support the daily construction of the forum, establish a global law enforcement training system, carry out regional and global actions to prevent and combat various types of transnational crimes, support the forum's construction of an international think tank, timely research and release of the Global Public Security Index, and contribute wisdom and strength to deepening global public security governance, jointly moving towards a beautiful tomorrow of lasting peace and universal security. Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manai, Solomon Islands Prime Minister Sogavare, Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Zahid, United Nations Deputy Secretary General Lakhrou, and relevant guests delivered video or on-site speeches. The theme of this conference is "One World, Common Security". More than 500 leaders of governments, law enforcement agencies, international organizations, and internationally renowned experts and scholars from over 50 countries and regions participated in the conference. On the same day, Wang Xiaohong met with the President of the International Criminal Police Organization, Ellas, Minister of the Interior and Minister of Narcotics Control of Pakistan, Salvraz Bugti, Director of the Nicaraguan National Police Department, Dias, and Director of the Ethiopian Federal Police Department, Demerash, respectively.
