The centralized signing event for major investment projects at the 2023 China International Intelligent Industry Expo was held on the 4th at the Yuelai International Convention and Exhibition Center in Chongqing. A total of 84 major projects were signed, with a formal contract amount of 213.86 billion yuan, covering multiple fields such as intelligent connected new energy vehicles, biopharmaceuticals, software information services, new energy, and new energy storage. According to reports, using the Smart Expo as a platform, Chongqing has focused on key industries such as the production and research and development of intelligent connected new energy vehicles this year. It has signed strategic cooperation agreements and technical cooperation agreements with multiple enterprises and departments such as CRRC, the Fifth Institute of Electronics of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China. Among all signed projects, there are 11 projects ranging from 5 billion yuan to 10 billion yuan, and 5 projects above 10 billion yuan. In the field of intelligent connected new energy vehicles, this year's Smart Expo has promoted 19 signed projects with a formal contract amount of 68.8 billion yuan, accounting for 32.2% of the total signed amount. In addition, this year's Smart Expo has promoted the signing of 7 foreign investment contract projects with a formal contract amount of 9.62 billion yuan. The relevant person in charge of the Chongqing Investment Promotion Bureau stated that the successful signing of major projects at this Smart Expo will effectively promote the digital and intelligent transformation and upgrading of Chongqing's traditional industries, continuously improve the level of modern industrial system construction, and take a solid step towards building a national important advanced manufacturing center.
