Guangdong Online Police Case 2: Dongguan Online Security Department has identified that Liu Moule started an e-commerce company, recruiting employees to attract orders through various online platforms, and then using automatic order scanning software to provide illegal business of "paid order scanning" for online merchants on well-known e-commerce platforms. This has increased the transaction volume, positive feedback rate, and store weight of the merchants, thereby increasing their product sales. In July 2023, the Dongguan cybersecurity department collaborated with the Dalang branch to carry out a network capture operation, capturing 35 suspects with a total amount of approximately 40 million yuan involved. Case 3: Dongguan's cybersecurity department found that Chen, Li, and others registered a technology company and specifically posted advertisements on the internet. They organized "network water army" personnel to delete, block, and downgrade information for medical institutions, car companies, and other businesses on online platforms, providing paid information deletion services. According to statistics, the gang has deleted posts for about 11000 times with compensation since March 2022, and illegally gained about 530000 yuan. The police remind that the internet is not an illegal place, and "spreading rumors and diverting information", "extorting public opinion", "paid deletion of posts", and "traffic control and evaluation" are illegal and criminal activities.
