The relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stated that new industries refer to emerging and future industries that have developed and strengthened through the application of new technologies. Standardization plays a fundamental and leading role in promoting the development of new industries. The plan aims to promote the innovative development of emerging industries and seize the opportunities for future industry development, focusing on 8 major emerging industries such as new generation information technology, new energy, and new materials, as well as 9 major future industries such as metaverse, brain computer interface, and quantum information, and coordinating the research, formulation, implementation, and internationalization of standards. The plan proposes the "three step" goals for 2025, 2030, and 2035. Among them, by 2025, the standard system supporting the development of emerging industries will gradually improve, and the standards leading future industrial innovation and development will accelerate the formation. The proportion of standard achievements formed by common key technologies and applied technology plan projects reaches over 60%, and the linkage between standards and industrial technology innovation is more efficient. More than 2000 national and industry standards have been newly formulated, and more than 300 advanced group standards have been cultivated, making the role of standards in guiding the high-quality development of industries more powerful. The relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said that the plan decomposes and sets up five main tasks based on the standardization needs of different stages of the development of new industries, including building systems, strengthening capabilities, focusing on emerging industries, seeking the future, and expanding space. Specifically, it is proposed to comprehensively promote the construction of the emerging industry standard system, clarify the development direction of key standards, and refine and decompose the focus of standard development in the form of columns. The person in charge stated that in the next step, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will work with relevant departments to continuously improve the construction of emerging industry standard systems, forward-looking layout of future industry standard research, and provide solid technical support for accelerating the high-quality development of new industries.
