On July 23, the Organization Department of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee announced that Lu Yixian, the current member of the Standing Committee of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee and the Secretary of the Nansha District Party Committee, was to be the Secretary of the Prefecture-level city Municipal Party Committee. Lu Yixian has been serving in Guangzhou for a long time. In 2015, he was appointed as a member of the Standing Committee of the Guangzhou Municipal Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department. In 2020, he was appointed as a member of the Standing Committee of the Guangzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Nansha District Committee. According to the public resume, Lu Yixian was born in July 1970 and graduated from Renmin University of China in 1992. After graduation, he joined the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee Office and served as the Deputy Director and Director of the Comprehensive Supervision Department. In 2003, he was appointed as the Deputy Director of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee Office. In 2005, Lu Yixian was appointed as the Director of the Policy Research Office of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee, and in 2007, he also served as the Deputy Secretary General of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee. In 2011, Lu Yi was first transferred to the post of Secretary of the Panyu District Party Committee of Guangzhou; in 2015, he was appointed as a member of the Standing Committee of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee and the head of the United Front Work Department; in 2020, he was appointed as a member of the Standing Committee of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Nansha District Party Committee.
