The Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration and the Hong Kong Competition Affairs Commission (hereinafter referred to as the "Hong Kong Competition Commission") signed the Memorandum on Promoting the Effective Implementation of Competition Policies and Laws in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area in Guangzhou on the 19th, and jointly issued the Guidance Manual on Competition Compliance of Guangdong Hong Kong Enterprises. It is reported that the cooperation content of the memorandum mainly includes holding regular work meetings, conducting exchanges and cooperation activities related to competition policy and law. The work meeting will be held alternately between the two locations and will be held by the signatory parties in that location, and in principle, it will be held once a year. Exchange and cooperation activities include: exchanging important developments in local competition policy, competition legislation, or competition law enforcement; Carry out technical cooperation in competition policy and legal implementation, such as inspections, internships, experience exchanges, etc., to enhance the professional level of both parties; Jointly carry out competition advocacy work, such as training, seminars, conferences, etc., to enhance the awareness of competition policies and laws among enterprises, government agencies, and the public in the Bay Area. In order to guide Guangdong and Hong Kong enterprises to consciously establish the concept of fair competition, establish a sound competition compliance system, and improve their perception of competition risks, the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration and the Hong Kong Competition Commission have jointly developed the "Guangdong and Hong Kong Enterprise Competition Compliance Guidance Manual". The manual explains the newly revised Anti monopoly Law of the Anti Monopoly Law of China, the latest supporting regulations and other relevant documents in detail, compiles typical cases in the anti-monopoly field, warns Guangdong and Hong Kong enterprises of risks, and puts forward suggestions on competition compliance management. The Market Supervision Administration of Guangdong Province said that the signing of the memorandum and the release of the "Guide Manual on Competition and Compliance of Guangdong and Hong Kong Enterprises" will effectively guide Guangdong and Hong Kong enterprises to cultivate a compliance culture of fair competition, build a benchmark enterprise for competition and compliance in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, and promote the full implementation of competition policies in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area.
