Since 1948, Zhang Jinyuan has been engaged in clinical nursing work in Jiangxi Province for over 40 years. After retirement, starting in 1999, she pioneered the establishment of a community volunteer service system, extending nursing professional practice to the community. As of 2023, under the guidance of Zhang Jinyuan, from the initial 17 retired nurses to the current team of over 19000 volunteers, we have provided caring services to over 700000 people in more than 350 communities, and have extended our service model to 19 provinces, cities, autonomous regions, the United States, Japan, and other places nationwide. Nowadays, at the age of 94, Zhang Jinyuan is still active in the front line of volunteer service, with a total of over 26000 hours of personal volunteer service. She initiated the creation of the "four in one model" of community hospital family volunteer, home care chain service model, and "smart elderly care service" platform with exemplary effects. Zhang Jinyuan actively promoted the spirit of Red Cross volunteer service, insisted on carrying out 72 comprehensive service activities for community residents, including prevention and health care, public health, health education, rescue training, poverty relief and disability assistance, Palliative care, care for left behind women and children, and brought healthy life to thousands of families. The conference delivered an award speech to Comrade Zhang Jinyuan, the winner of the "International Achievement Award". In the award speech, it was mentioned that Comrade Zhang Jinyuan is an outstanding representative of China's nursing industry and has made outstanding contributions to the development of China and the global nursing industry.
