Li Qiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Premier of the State Council, presided over a forum for platform enterprises on the afternoon of July 12 to listen to the opinions and suggestions on better promoting the standardized, healthy and sustainable development of the Platform economy. After carefully listening to the speeches, Li Qiang pointed out that the Platform economy came into being in the tide of the times, providing new space for expanding demand, providing a new engine for innovation and development, providing new channels for employment and entrepreneurship, providing new support for public services, and playing an increasingly prominent role in the overall development. Li Qiang pointed out that Platform economy has great potential in the new journey of building a socialist modern country in an all-round way. He hopes that the vast number of platform enterprises will have a firm confidence to look forward, practice their "internal skills" and work hard to solve the "troubles of growth", and demonstrate their skills in leading development, creating employment, and international competition. We should continue to promote innovative breakthroughs, increase research and development investment around key core technologies such as underlying technologies, and open up more new fields and tracks. To empower the development of the real economy, we need to further stimulate the potential of domestic demand by optimizing the development of consumer internet platforms, and effectively drive the linkage and innovation of small and medium-sized enterprises by vigorously developing industrial internet platforms. We should actively fulfill our social responsibilities, strengthen industry self-discipline and compliant operation, maintain a good ecological environment for the platform, and strive to expand new employment based on the platform, actively engage in social welfare undertakings. We need to accelerate the enhancement of international competitiveness, dare to work hard on the international stage, and drive more Chinese made and Chinese services to go abroad.
