On July 10th, the Commercial Service Bureau of Hengqin Guangdong Macao Deep Cooperation Zone formulated a supporting implementation document, "Measures for the Practice Filing of Pharmaceutical Technicians from the Macao Special Administrative Region in Drug Retail Units of Hengqin Guangdong Macao Deep Cooperation Zone", to further clarify the practice filing procedures. This measure will officially come into effect on August 1, 2023. The filing measures correspond to the "Regulations on the Administration of Practice Filing of Pharmaceutical Technicians in Drug Retail Units of the Hengqin Guangdong Macao Deep Cooperation Zone of the Macao Special Administrative Region", and corresponding implementation rules are formulated. The content includes 16 key matters such as clear filing procedures, pre job training and assessment, filing materials, processing time limits, continuing education, and online sales. After Macau pharmacists, Chinese pharmacists, traditional Chinese medicine practitioners, and pharmacy technical assistants meet the prescribed conditions and have been registered by the drug regulatory department of the cooperation zone, they can directly provide pharmaceutical services in the drug retail units of the cooperation zone, without the need to participate in corresponding mainland exams. This will provide convenience for Macau pharmaceutical technical personnel to practice cross-border. According to the filing measures, registered pharmaceutical technicians in Macau who engage in online sales and prescription review in drug retail units in the cooperative zone shall comply with relevant regulations in the mainland, and the online sales and distribution area shall be limited to the cooperative zone. At the same time, Macau pharmaceutical technicians should undergo pre job training and assessment before applying for practice registration in the cooperation zone. The training and assessment are all completed through the Hengqin Guangdong Macao Deep Cooperation Zone Drug Safety Social Co governance System. The pre job training mainly includes policies and regulations, drug quality and safety management, prescription management and review, and reporting of adverse drug reactions. The pre job training should have no less than 12 credits and can be completed to participate in assessments. (New News Agency)
