During the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, the People's Volunteer Army General Hospital treated and transferred more than 340000 front-line wounded, making an important contribution to the victory of our army. The predecessor of the 966th Hospital of the Joint Support Force was the General Hospital of the Volunteer Army. In recent years, the hospital has taken inheriting the spirit of resisting the United States and aiding Korea as its own responsibility, continuing the glorious tradition of "all for the front line, all for the wounded, and all for victory", fully utilizing red resources such as the former site of the Volunteer General Hospital, innovating and carrying out national defense education for the whole people, guiding the medical staff, military officers and soldiers, local medical staff, cadres and students to master basic knowledge and skills of war rescue, and enhancing national defense awareness. Recently, reporters walked into the 966th Hospital to learn about the innovative approach of this former battlefield hospital in carrying out national defense education for all. The 966th Hospital of the Joint Logistics Support Force organized new recruits to visit the hospital history museum. Dong Liyan took a photo of military and civilian personnel conducting a simulated experience of "war injury rescue" at the hospital's simulated war injury rescue training center. Dong Liyan took a photo of the visitor scanning the QR code to understand the story behind the exhibits at the museum. Photographed by Dong Liyan, visitors watched a documentary on the treatment of patients at the General Hospital of the Volunteer Army. Dong Liyan took a picture of visiting officers and soldiers in the medical record room, flipping through the medical treatment records of volunteer soldiers. Dong Liyan inherits glorious traditions and revisits history, and everyone remembers their mission. "As medical staff in military hospitals and new heirs to the white clad soldiers of the volunteer army, we must do what our elders said - as long as I am still alive, we must do our best to treat the wounded." In mid June, the reporter arrived at the 966th Hospital of the Joint Logistics Support Force, which is providing pre employment education for newly hired medical staff, Song Shuang, the director of the nursing department of Huoshenshan Hospital who had applied to fight against the COVID-19, served as the lecturer again. This time, they will set up the classroom in the hospital history museum and medical record room. The reporter learned that the 966th Hospital is located at the original site of the headquarters of the Volunteer General Hospital. During the renovation, some of the hospital's consultation rooms were transformed into a hospital history museum, showcasing the hospital's historical evolution, the heroic deeds of medical staff in rescuing volunteer soldiers, and the main medical and combat equipment used to treat volunteer soldiers at that time. The medical record room was transformed from the Datongpu ward and stored medical records for volunteer military patients. Every picture, every medical device, and every file are witnesses of blood and fire. In the hospital history museum, Song Shuang pointed to a hand-painted picture and introduced a female nurse who was carrying a wounded soldier under gunsmoke. She was Zhu Yong, a 16-year-old nurse at the General Hospital of the Volunteer Army and later became the hospital director. Once, she accompanied the troops to the front line to rescue the wounded, but was bombed by enemy planes on the way. The train was forced to stop in a cave, and more than 100 comrades fainted due to smoke. After Zhu Yong woke up, he dragged his comrades out of the cave one by one. Due to extreme fatigue and smoke, Zhu Yong fell into a coma again. But after being rescued by her comrades, she continued to fight. Someone advised her to take a break, and she said, "As long as I am still alive, I will do my best to treat the wounded." "It wasn't until after participating in the Wuhan epidemic prevention that I truly realized the depth of this sentence
