Jointly guarding the "Children of the Stars", the East District Children's Rehabilitation Center holds the "Free Diagnosis and Research" activity for autism

On July 2, the Autism Professional Committee of the Beijing Academy of Neuroscience, the Autism Research Center of the Peking University Health Science Center, and the Beijing Autistic Children's Rehabilitation Association jointly launched a free consultation and scientific research activity, which was undertaken by the Children's Rehabilitation Center of the East District of Beijing. While answering questions for autistic families, it explored new directions for diagnosis and intervention of children's autism. Group photo of the consulting expert team More than ten experts from Peking University Sixth Hospital, Beijing Anding Hospital, Peking University First Hospital, Beijing Children's Hospital, and Peking University Health Science Center provided free consultation for children with autism and Developmental disorder. The free clinic includes autism CARS assessment, autism diagnosis and treatment consultation, developmental disorders, language rehabilitation, medical Genetic counseling, and scientific research includes eye movement tracking and human-computer interactive board game intervention experience. Jia Meixiang, Chief physician of Peking University Sixth Hospital, is doing free clinic consultation. Autism is closely related to heredity. The causes of autism are complex and yet to be determined. Autism is a neuropsychiatric disorder that occurs in early childhood. The core symptoms are social interaction disorder, narrow interest and repetitive stereotypical behavior. So, how is autism caused? Zhang Rong, associate professor of the Department of Neurobiology of the Medicine#Basic sciences, Peking University Health Science Center, and executive vice president of the Beijing Society of Neuroscience, said that autism is caused by abnormal brain development. Autism is closely related to genetics, and over a hundred genes and over a thousand gene loci have been found to be associated with the onset of autism. It is a very complex polygenic genetic disease; In addition, the mother's state before, during, during, and after childbirth can also affect the child's early brain development and social system establishment, such as taking antiepileptic drugs during pregnancy, critical nutritional deficiencies, infections, and fetal distress during childbirth, all of which are high-risk factors for autism. Zhang Rong, associate professor of the Department of Neurobiology of the Medicine#Basic sciences, Peking University Health Science Center, and executive vice president of the Beijing Society of Neuroscience, was at the free clinic activity site. "So autism may be a congenital genetic factor, or it may be a negative interference in the process of nurture, which affected the child's brain development, and ultimately led to abnormalities in brain structure and function." Zhang Rong said. Medicine, education, and rehabilitation need to be fully integrated and integrated. Although the country's attention and support for autism groups continue to increase, the autism rehabilitation industry in China still faces relatively serious problems. As a leading figure in the field of autism diagnosis and treatment in China, Jia Meixiang, Chief physician of Peking University Sixth Hospital, believes that, first of all, autism diagnosis ability is insufficient. Whether children with autism can be found in time, child psychiatrists play a vital role. If they can be found and treated early, and through systematic intervention and training, some children can return to the mainstream society. Secondly, autism rehabilitation education resources still need to be further standardized, and the connection and integration of medicine, education, and rehabilitation should be done well. Improving the diagnosis and intervention level of autism, enhancing rehabilitation service capabilities, and mobilizing broader government support and social assistance are necessary to jointly promote the development of this cause and provide these children with a higher quality of life, "Jia Meixiang said. Families with autistic children should have a holistic perspective on rehabilitation. Unfortunately
