Yesterday, the launch conference of the Smart Connected Car Innovation Leading Area in the new Lingang area of the Shanghai Free Trade Zone was held in the Lingang Center, where 15 cars from four enterprises, Youdao Zhitu, TuSimple, Saike Smart, and Yunji Zhixing, were awarded the first batch of driver free smart connected car road test licenses based on the legislative basis. The reporter learned that the new area of Lingang has set up automatic driving open roads with a total length of about 500 kilometers in areas such as the line around Dishui Lake, the International Innovation Cooperation Zone, Lianggang Avenue Expressway, and Donghai Bridge. 15 licensed vehicles can be tested legally without drivers. At the press conference, the "Overall Construction Plan for the Innovation Leading Zone of Intelligent Connected Vehicles in the Lingang New Area" was released. By 2025, we aim to build Lingang into the first intelligent connected vehicle innovation leading zone in China with "data connectivity for all roads, cloud connectivity for all vehicles, and intelligent empowerment for all cities". The Guidelines for the Construction of Vehicle Road Coordination System in the Innovation Leading Area of Intelligent Connected Vehicles in the New Lingang District was released simultaneously, creating 7 Xiangcheng City level scenarios, aiming to improve the happiness of people's daily travel. The Lingang New Area has also released a list of innovative application scenarios and standard systems for intelligent connected vehicles, which are listed as "outstanding".
