On June 1st, in Lu Village, Binzhou Town, Binyang County, Guangxi, Lu Yungang was making oil-paper umbrellas. Lu Yungang lives in Lu Village, Binzhou Town, Binyang County, Guangxi, and is the inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage of Binyang oil-paper umbrella making techniques in Guangxi. The art of making oil paper umbrellas has been passed down in Binyang County for over 300 years, and generations of Lu Yungang's family have been umbrella craftsmen. From chopping bamboo to finished products, an oil paper umbrella needs to go through more than 120 processes before and after, and it takes 3 days to complete from beginning to end. Lu Yungang said that it is in such a delicate production and polishing process that every product has the temperature of passing down the craftsmanship from person to person and from generation to generation.
