From May 26 to 28, the "the Taihu Lake (Mashan) Life and Health Forum - 2023 translational medicine and Clinical Innovation Conference" was held in Binhu District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. Wuxi International Life Science Park in Binhu District and Wuxi International Life Science Innovation Park in Xinwu District jointly launched the the Taihu Lake Bay Life Health Industrial Park Alliance. A number of life health industry projects have been signed and implemented, covering new drug research and development, medical devices, synthetic biology, AI medical, Internet medical services and other fields. Bai Changling, member of the Standing Committee of the Wuxi Municipal Committee and Minister of Organization, believes that these major platforms, industrial park alliances, and projects will comprehensively promote the efficient integration and development of industry and capital, effectively promote the extension and reinforcement of the Binhu Life and Health Industry Chain, and continuously climb and upgrade. The health industry is the focal track of a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation, and it is also a key path for Binhu to build a modern industrial system and enhance the comprehensive strength of the city. In 2022, the scale of the biopharmaceutical industry in Binhu District reached 16.15 billion yuan, an increase of 9.6%; In the first quarter of this year, it reached 3.52 billion yuan.
