The 2023 Annual Summit of the World Education Forum opened in Hong Kong on the 26th, with experts, scholars, young leaders and representatives from various regions jointly discussing topics such as education reform and sustainable economic development. During his speech on the same day, the Chairman of the Hong Kong Organizing Committee of the World Education Forum, Shi Xide, stated that this meeting provides valuable learning experiences and exchange opportunities for young participants. Shi Xide introduced that the World Education Forum, as an international platform, promotes in-depth dialogue among leaders and business professionals on the future of education and labor, and plays a catalytic role in modernizing the education system, enabling the new generation to better prepare for the rapidly changing world. The Deputy Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Chew Wing hing, stated in a speech on site that education is the foundation of economic and social progress and welcomes students from all over the world to study, conduct academic research, and participate in exchange activities in Hong Kong. Zhuo Yongxing said that the SAR government is working hard to expand its talent pool in order to seize the huge opportunities brought by the national "14th Five Year Plan" and the construction of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.
