Bashar congratulated China on successfully mediating the resumption of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran, believing that the reconciliation between Saudi Arabia and Iran will have a significant positive impact on the international landscape and regional situation. Syria thanks China for its active work in promoting Syria's improvement of relations with other Arab countries, and welcomes China to play a greater role in maintaining regional peace and stability. Zhai Jun stated that in recent years, China Syria relations have continued to develop and political mutual trust has been continuously strengthened. The 2021 China Syria summit provides strategic guidance and injects strong momentum into the development of China Syria relations. China is willing to work with Syria to implement the important consensus between the leaders of the two countries, continue to firmly support each other's core interests, and promote new positive progress in friendly cooperation between the two countries.
