The construction of the Shanhaiguan Great Wall North Wing City Protection and Repair Project is underway

On April 19th, workers worked on the construction site of the Shanhaiguan Great Wall North Wing City renovation project. Recently, the construction of the Shanhaiguan Great Wall Protection and Exhibition Project in Shanhaiguan District, Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province - the protection and repair project for the 1st to 4th Ma Mian section of Beiyicheng has steadily progressed. It is reported that the project adheres to the principles of "minimal intervention" and "no change to the original state", respects the historical evolution of the Great Wall in different periods, and based on archaeological achievements, preserves historical information and the historical style of the Great Wall to the maximum extent possible. At the same time, the project adopts targeted technical measures to repair and reinforce the city wall, reduce the amount of wall dismantling, strengthen preventive protection of the city wall, and eliminate safety hazards.
