The two centers will be based in the Greater Bay Area for cross-border integration, helping to accelerate the development of Macau's digital cultural industry. The research on "Building a" Digital City Community "-" Digital Communication Power "in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area" jointly initiated by the Information and Communication Research Center of Fudan University and the Macau Media Research Center of the University of Macau was officially launched on the same day. On the basis of the existing joint construction, the two sides will jointly carry out research activities in the Greater Bay Area cities with Jinan University, Guangzhou University of Foreign Studies, Guangzhou University, Shenzhen University and other universities to explore the current cutting-edge practice of digital technology in China, respond to major issues in urban Digital transformation, serve urban development, and deepen urban communication research. During the dissemination cycle, a Chinese youth film short film exhibition will also be launched, with themed forums, round tables, unit screenings, and dialogue activities held for the public in Macau. During the event, a doctoral forum was set up to solicit papers from around the world around the theme of visual communication. Twenty selected papers that have been rigorously evaluated by the academic committee will be published on the forum. This International Communication Week is jointly organized by the School of Humanities and Arts at Macau University of Science and Technology, the Information and Communication Research Center at Fudan University, the School of Art and Media at Beijing Normal University, and the Film and Television Society of Chinese Higher Education Institutions, and ends on April 20th.
