The "the Belt and Road" National Cultural Festival was opened in Suzhou Campus of Renmin University of China a few days ago. At the opening ceremony, Zhou Qin, the chief expert of the China Kunqu Opera Research Center and the vice president of the China Kunqu Opera Guqin Research Association, collaborated with Zhou Nan, a young teacher and art doctoral student from Shanghai Theatre Academy, to bring a Kunqu clear song called "Peony Pavilion: Searching for Dreams" and "Lazy Thrush"; Famous Guqin performer, Zhuo Qin player, Guqin restorer, and founder of Wumen Qin Society, Pei Jinbao, and Zhang Changgong, president of Yixiang Qin Society, collaborated on a piece of qin and xiao called "Wild Goose Falling in the Sand"; Famous Pingtan performing artist and national first-class actor Yuan Xiaoliang vividly performed "Five Thousand Years of China" in the form of a "Pingtan Talk Show". After the opening ceremony, an exhibition of traditional Chinese culture was held. The exhibition focuses on Suzhou's local intangible cultural heritage projects (including Kesi, Suzhou embroidery, Song brocade, nuclear carving, bronze ware, Paper Cuttings, Taohuawu woodcut New Year pictures, Su fans, lanterns, Chengni stone carvings, jade carvings, etc.), and the different festival cultures of the countries where the Silk Road students live (including Brazil, Russia, Georgia, Ghana, Cambodia, Rwanda, Myanmar, Mexico, Nepal, Nigeria), Showcasing the inclusive and open spirit of "embracing all rivers and being harmonious but different", enhancing the profound understanding of value connotations among different civilizations, guiding Silk Road students to contribute their youth to the prosperity of the world civilization garden and promoting the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind, and depicting a magnificent picture of "beauty and harmony, and mutual learning between culture and civilization". It is reported that the "the Belt and Road" National Cultural Festival is an important measure for Suzhou Campus to actively implement the global civilization initiative and promote exchanges and mutual learning between Chinese and foreign civilizations. The Cultural Festival lasts for one month, and will be followed by a series of activities such as international cultural film appreciation, Chinese and foreign culture mutual learning salon, "the Belt and Road" cultural carnival, international cultural knowledge contest, closing ceremony and award ceremony.
