RMB 5 billion central bank notes successfully issued in Hong Kong

The People's Bank of China announced on the 21st that it had successfully issued 5 billion yuan of central bank notes in Hong Kong on the same day. This offering has been widely welcomed by overseas investors, indicating that RMB assets are highly attractive to overseas investors and reflecting the confidence of global investors in the Chinese economy. The reporter learned from the People's Bank of China that this issuance of 5 billion yuan 6-month RMB central bank bills has a bid winning interest rate of 2.20%, and the total bidding amount is about 30.2 billion yuan, which exceeds six times the issuance amount. The People's Bank of China said that the People's Bank of China's normalized issuance of RMB central bank bills in Hong Kong has played a positive role in promoting the development of the offshore RMB market.
