Mature and Tough Sino Russian Relations

Guided by the strategy of the two heads of state, China and Russia have deepened good neighborly and friendly cooperation, and the comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination between the two countries in the new era is mature, tough and stable, which has set up a new paradigm of new major country relations. The sustained, healthy and stable development of China Russia relations not only benefits both sides, but also injects more stability into the world. The mature and tenacious relationship between China and Russia relies on top-level design and strategic guidance. The contacts between the heads of state are the compass and the anchor of Sino Russian relations. Under the personal planning and strategic guidance of the heads of state of China and Russia, China Russia relations have forged a path of strategic mutual trust and neighborly friendship among major countries, bringing tangible benefits to the two peoples and playing a constructive role in promoting world development and progress. Over the years, through mutual visits, bilateral meetings held on important multilateral occasions, video meetings, phone calls, and letters to each other, the two heads of state have frequently interacted, exchanged in-depth experiences in governance, and jointly planned to promote the development of bilateral relations and practical cooperation in various fields. Zhang Hanhui, Chinese Ambassador to Russia, said that under the leadership of the two heads of state, China Russia relations have shown great vitality and continuously demonstrated strong endogenous momentum. The mature and tenacious relationship between China and Russia is based on non alignment, non confrontation, and non targeting of third parties. Under the great changes that have not occurred in a century, is the interaction between major countries a closed and exclusive group politics, or a frank and honest friendship between gentlemen? China and Russia have given the answer that their relations neither pose a threat to any country in the world, nor are they subject to interference and provocation from any third party, setting a model for a new type of international relations. Such a choice is in line with the respective and common interests of the two countries, conforms to the theme of the era of peace and development, and conforms to the trend of the era of world multipolarization and democratization of international relations. Russian Ambassador to China Morgulov said that anyone who is hostile to us and wants to alienate our friendship will not succeed. The maturity and tenacity of China Russia relations have injected more stability into the turbulent and intertwined world. In the face of individual countries regaining Cold War thinking and creating a false proposition of "democracy versus authoritarianism", China and Russia, together with other countries, have unswervingly promoted world multipolarization and the democratization of international relations, firmly opposed hegemony and resisted the new Cold War. As permanent members of the Security Council, China and Russia closely coordinate and cooperate in international affairs, firmly defend the international system with the United Nations at its core and the international order based on international law, and safeguard genuine multilateralism. The two countries have increased mutual support on issues related to each other's core interests, coordinated cooperation within the multilateral frameworks of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the CICA, and the BRICS countries, to safeguard the security interests of the region and the common interests of developing and emerging market countries. Professor Yang Mian from the Institute of International Relations at Communication University of China said that maintaining stable and friendly relations between China and Russia is conducive to the long-term development of the two countries and the world, both from the perspective of the international community and bilateral relations. The maturity and tenacity of China Russia relations are reflected in the continuous deepening of exchanges and cooperation. The cooperation between the two countries in various fields such as economy and trade, investment, energy, science and technology, humanities, and local areas has developed in an all-round and in-depth manner.
