The first session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee held its second plenary meeting in the Great Hall of the People on the morning of the 7th. First of all, the meeting heard a statement on the amendment (draft) to the Constitution of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference made by the Vice Chairman of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Bater explained the work, principles and main contents of the revision of the Constitution of the CPPCC. He said that implementing the deployment requirements of the CPC Central Committee and making appropriate amendments to the CPPCC Constitution is a major event to better adhere to and improve the multi-party cooperation and political consultation system led by the CPC, and strengthen the construction of the CPPCC system and self construction. Only by constantly adapting to the new situation and making new norms can the Constitution of the CPPCC play a better role and promote the development of the cause of the CPPCC. The revised Constitution of the CPPCC has remained stable in general, with unchanged structure, enriched important contents and improved relevant expressions. Subsequently, 13 members of the CPPCC made speeches at the conference.
