The notice put forward eight key tasks, including strengthening project sorting, highlighting category characteristics, integrating into tourism space, enriching tourism products, establishing experience bases, protecting cultural ecology, cultivating characteristic routes, and carrying out two-way training. According to the notice, the local cultural and tourism administrative departments should establish a recommended directory for the integrated development of intangible cultural heritage and tourism and publish it to the public to provide high-quality intangible cultural heritage resources for tourism development. The notice proposes to support the combination of intangible cultural heritage with rural tourism, red tourism, ice and snow tourism, health tourism, sports tourism, etc. It is encouraged to integrate intangible cultural heritage or related elements into the national cultural and tourism industry integration development demonstration area, night culture and tourism consumption gathering area, theme park, tourism hotel, etc. It is encouraged to effectively connect tourism homestays with intangible cultural heritage resources. Encourage tourism performance creation to draw inspiration and materials from intangible cultural heritage. During the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" period, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism will select the intangible cultural heritage facilities and places with distinctive features, remarkable service results, and widely recognized by the public, and tourism-related places that provide intangible cultural heritage experience, research and other services, and set up a number of national intangible cultural heritage experience bases.
