During the period, the Ministry of Education held a renewal ceremony of strategic cooperation agreements with three major telecom operators. Huai Jinpeng, Minister of Education, Cao Shumin, Deputy Director of the Central Network Information Office, Wang Jiangping, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Tan Zuojun, Deputy Director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, Ou Wenhan, Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Finance, and relevant officials of the National Development and Reform Commission attended the meeting. Wu Yan, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Education, signed an agreement with Ke Ruiwen, Chairman of China Telecom, Liu Liehong, Chairman of China Unicom, and Yang Jie, Chairman of China Mobile to jointly promote the digital transformation, intelligent upgrading, integration and innovation of education and support the high-quality development of education. The signing ceremony was presided over by Chen Jie, Deputy Minister of Education. In the past ten years, the Ministry of Education has established a good partnership and communication mechanism with the three major telecom operators, and both have completed two phases of strategic cooperation, with remarkable results. The three major telecom operators have played an important role in and made positive contributions to the construction of new education infrastructure, education informatization to help poverty alleviation and rural revitalization, and support the "suspension of classes without suspension" during the epidemic. The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China made the strategic deployment of "promoting the digitalization of education, building a learning society and a learning country with comprehensive lifelong learning", which pointed out the development direction and provided a fundamental basis for the digitalization of education. According to the agreement, the Ministry of Education and the three major telecom operators will comprehensively deepen strategic cooperation in the construction of smart education platform, digital education management, digital literacy and skills improvement of teachers and students, and education evaluation reform. The three major telecom operators will give full play to the role of the main force of national digital construction, effectively fulfill social responsibilities and mission responsibilities, and give impetus to the high-quality development of education and the modernization of education.
