Jiao Jianli, a professor at South China Normal University, believes that micro-class is an online teaching video aimed at explaining a certain knowledge point, taking short and concise online video as the form of expression, and aiming at learning or teaching application. Li Jiahou, an expert in micro-class and a professor at Shanghai Normal University, believes that micro-class is a small course with clear teaching objectives, short content and concentrated explanation of a problem within 10 minutes. Hu Tiesheng, one of the founders of micro-class in China and a senior teacher in Foshan, believes that micro-class is the abbreviation of micro-video online course. It is an online video course resource designed and developed for a certain subject knowledge point or teaching link with micro-teaching video as the main carrier and supports multiple learning methods. Although experts have different opinions on the definition of micro-class, they agree on the core content of micro-class, that is, "short, precise, interesting, and elaborate a small problem". As an "exotic product", micro-class was first adopted by Khan College in the United States. The micro-class recorded by Salman Khan, the founder of the college, was once popular around the world, resulting in a flipped classroom teaching model, that is, to readjust the time inside and outside the classroom, students finish their studies at home, and the classroom becomes a place for interaction between teachers and students. This has also had a certain impact on the education field of all countries in the world. In recent years, China's Ministry of Education and educational administrative departments at all levels have actively carried out the construction of micro-class resources in basic education, higher education and other fields. In 2010, the Education Bureau of Foshan City, Guangdong Province, launched the first "excellent micro-class" collection and evaluation activity for the new curriculum of primary and secondary schools. Since then, micro-class teaching has developed rapidly throughout the country. In 2013, the National Network Training Center for University Teachers of the Ministry of Education held the first university micro-class competition, marking the country's vigorous promotion of micro-class. In Shandong University, micro-class has been implemented for more than ten years. As early as 2009, in order to promote innovation and entrepreneurship education, Shandong University built 49 innovation and entrepreneurship education platforms. On these platforms, micro-class has become an important carrier of competition promotion and case analysis, and teachers and students are the "protagonists" of micro-class.
