In order to fight for the economy, Foshan, the "manufacturing city" in the country, has the courage to take the lead. On February 8, the work report of Foshan Municipal Government proposed that the expected growth target of Foshan's GDP this year is 6%, and the investment in key provincial and municipal projects will be no less than 120 billion yuan. Foshan also strives to increase more than 900 technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises, more than 100 technology-leading enterprises and more than 10000 high-tech enterprises this year in order to create new benefits. Foshan is a city famous for its manufacturing industry, and its industrial added value above the designated size ranks second among the prefecture-level cities in China. At the end of last year, in the list of 45 national advanced manufacturing clusters published by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Foshan accounted for 3, including Guangzhou-Foshan-Hui UHD video and smart home appliance cluster, Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Foshan-Guanguan smart equipment cluster, and Foguan-Fan-Househouse cluster. This year, Foshan will expand and strengthen strategic emerging industries, promote interaction and mutual promotion with traditional industries, and accelerate the march of three major national advanced manufacturing clusters into world-class industrial clusters. Specifically, Foshan will speed up the cultivation of a number of "specialized and innovative" enterprises at or above the provincial level to become "singles champions" and "supporting experts". This year, Foshan will promote the rapid review, approval and construction of major industrial projects, support at least 1200 manufacturing enterprises to carry out technological transformation, strive to increase industrial investment by more than 15%, and plan to add 80 enterprise standard "leaders" and 100 Foshan standard products. With the continuous optimization of business environment, Foshan now attracts more and more manufacturing enterprises to settle down or increase capital and expand production. This year, Foshan strives to introduce 100 new major industrial projects of more than 1 billion yuan (or US $100 million). "Adhere to the principle of manufacturing industry, let us be confident." Tang Ying, director of the General Manager's Office of Foshan Special Medical Catheter Co., Ltd., from Nanzhuang Town, Chancheng District, said that this year the company will seize the opportunity to accelerate the implementation of capital increase and production expansion projects, and strive to break through 600 million yuan of sales and 100 million yuan of tax. Under the opportunity of "two zones" construction, Foshan has continuously deepened exchanges and cooperation with Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and other big bay cities in industry, science and technology in recent years, and coordinated to promote high-quality economic development. This year, Foshan will further promote the city-wide integration of Guangzhou-Foshan, jointly build Guangzhou-Foshan Science and Technology Innovation Industry Demonstration Zone, and explore the establishment of Guangzhou-Foshan Science and Technology Cooperation Zone. At the same time, it will strengthen cooperation with Hong Kong and Macao in science and technology, trade, finance, culture, traditional Chinese medicine and other fields, and explore the establishment of a Shenzhen-Foshan docking cooperation mechanism, promote the docking of Shenzhen's scientific and technological innovation financial resources with Foshan's real economy, and promote the strong alliance of "Shenzhen Innovation+Foshan Manufacturing". Accelerating high-quality development is inseparable from the whole-process innovation ecological chain. This year, Foshan will also build the Sanlongwan Science and Technology City with high standards, speed up the construction of high-tech industrial agglomeration parks, and improve the capacity of innovation. At the same time, we will support Jihua Laboratory to establish a national technology innovation center, Xianhu Laboratory to establish a national energy key laboratory, accelerate the construction of platforms such as the Foshan Center of the National Intelligent Design and Numerical Control Technology Innovation Center, and help Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Bay Area to accelerate the construction of an international technology innovation center and strengthen world-class industrial clusters.
