Recently, the Dominican Senate held a grand ceremony to commend China for its support of Dominica in fighting the COVID-19 epidemic and its cooperation in fighting the epidemic. At the commendation ceremony, Dominica's Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Solilia, said passionately that Dominica will never forget the timely help provided by China in the difficult time of fighting the epidemic. The President of Dominica, the House of Representatives and the entire people are grateful for this. This is the first time that the Dominican Congress has commended a government on anti-epidemic cooperation, which reflects the high recognition of the Dominican people and political parties on the anti-epidemic cooperation between the two countries and the high consensus on deepening the friendly cooperation between the two countries. At the critical moment of China's fight against the epidemic, the Dominican government, major political parties and all sectors of society have expressed sympathy and support, highly affirmed China's anti-epidemic measures, and opposed the politicization and virus labeling of the epidemic. After the outbreak of the epidemic in Dominica, China's central and local governments, relevant enterprises and institutions actively donated nucleic acid detection reagents, respirators, protective clothing and other epidemic prevention materials and thermal imaging equipment to various parties. Experts from the two countries held many video meetings, and China unreservedly shared the experience of anti-epidemic with many parties. China adheres to the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind, and actively fulfills its commitment to regard COVID-19 vaccine as a global public product. In the face of tight global vaccine supply, China immediately responded to requests from various parties, facilitated the procurement of more than 15 million doses of vaccines and donated a large number of vaccines, and strongly supported the cause of multi-epidemic prevention. Dominican Vice President Pegna visited the airport many times to welcome the Chinese vaccine. She said that the arrival of vaccines in China was like the light at the end of the tunnel, showing hope to the Dominican people. Dozens of media broadcast live the arrival of vaccines in China, and many mainstream newspapers conducted in-depth reports on the topics of "The Most Expected Flight" and "China Vaccine Rescue and Vaccination Plan". My colleagues and I deeply feel the gratitude of the local people to China. Dominica has always adhered to the scientific spirit, promoted the vaccination of Chinese vaccines nationwide and safeguarded the achievements of vaccine cooperation between the two countries. Dominican President Abinadel publicly criticized the selfish practice of individual countries in vaccine distribution, thanked the Chinese government for its generous help and took the lead in vaccinating China. Well-known local medical experts fully affirmed the safety and effectiveness of Chinese vaccines. The Dominican people are enthusiastically vaccinated with Chinese vaccines. The fight against the epidemic side by side has consolidated and developed the China-Doland relations. With the joint efforts of the two sides, especially the assistance of vaccine cooperation, the economic and social life of Dominica has quickly emerged from the haze of the epidemic, and the pillar industries such as tourism have rapidly recovered, and the anti-epidemic achievements have been recognized by the World Health Organization. Together, China and Togo have set an example of working hand in hand to fight the epidemic, and implemented the concept of building a community of human health with practical actions. Facts have proved that China's vaccine cooperation around the world has been fruitful, effectively promoting the fair and reasonable distribution of vaccines, bringing confidence to countries to fight the epidemic, and contributing to the construction of a global immune barrier. In May this year, China and Togo will celebrate the fifth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. It is believed that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Dobado relations will continue to move forward with great strides, better benefit the two countries and peoples, and inject more positive energy into the international community.
