An ecological photographer recently took pictures of the activities of hundreds of national second-level key protected animals, parrots, in Ruili, Dehong Prefecture, Yunnan Province. In particular, the pictures of the parrot and the sunset in the same frame, like the parrot carrying the sunset back to the nest, have a gentle beauty. The flower headed parrot is 26-36 cm in length and 85-90 g in weight. It is a typical climbing bird. It feeds on nuts, berries, shoots, grains, seeds, etc., and is distributed in China, Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and other countries. It is reported that the parrot is mainly distributed in Yunnan, Guangdong and Guangxi in China. However, it has disappeared in these regions for nearly a hundred years, and the academic community once believed that it has disappeared in China. It was not until April 2015, when an ecological photographer observed seven of the species in Pingyuan Town, Yingjiang County, Dehong Prefecture, and photographed their wild breeding behavior that the cockatoo was once again confirmed to be distributed in China. It is understood that in recent years, Yingjiang County, Ruili City and Mang City of Dehong Prefecture have recorded the observation of parrots, which is the most observed and photographed area in China.
