Among them, the effective number of domestic (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) invention patents is 3.28 million. Hu Wenhui, deputy director of the State Intellectual Property Office, said that China was the first country in the world to have more than 3 million domestic invention patents, of which the number of high-value invention patents reached 1.324 million, up 24.2% year on year, accounting for more than 40% of the effective number of invention patents. The latest report of World Intellectual Property Indicators released by the World Intellectual Property Organization also shows that China's effective number of invention patents has ranked first in the world. Hu Wenhui said that by the end of 2022, China had 355000 enterprises with effective invention patents, an increase of 57000 over the previous year, and 2324000 effective invention patents, an increase of 21.8%. Among them, high-tech enterprises and specialized "small giant" enterprises have 1.512 million effective invention patents, accounting for 65.1% of the total number of domestic enterprises, an increase of 0.5 percentage points over the same period of the previous year, and the innovation vitality of Chinese enterprises continues to increase. According to the statistics of 35 technical fields classified by the World Intellectual Property Organization, by the end of 2022, China's effective invention patents in digital technology fields such as information technology management and computer technology had the fastest growth, with a year-on-year growth of 59.6% and 28.8% respectively.
