On January 9, Foreign Minister Qin Gang held telephone conversations with Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov, Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilavar and South Korean Foreign Minister Park Chin. Qin Gang said that the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation in the new era has maintained a high level of development, exchanges and cooperation in various fields have been deepened, and the foundation of friendship and public opinion has been continuously consolidated. China-Russia relations are based on non-alignment, non-confrontation and non-targeting of third parties. We are willing to work with the Russian side to implement the important consensus of the two heads of state and continue to push China-Russia relations forward. Qin Gang said that China and Pakistan have special friendship and high mutual trust. The high-level interaction between the two countries has been maintained to inject strong impetus into the development of bilateral relations. China is willing to work with Pakistan, guided by the important consensus of the leaders of the two countries, to constantly deepen the traditional friendship between China and Pakistan, and work together to build a closer China-Pakistan community of shared future in the new era. As the Chinese Lunar New Year is approaching, China attaches great importance to the safety of Chinese citizens in Pakistan and hopes that Pakistan will continue to take strong security measures. Qin Gang said that China and South Korea are close neighbors and inseparable partners. The healthy and stable development of China-ROK relations conforms to the common interests of both sides and is the general direction of both sides' continuous efforts.
