Three dinosaurs were unearthed at one time on the New Year's Day, which is also a New Year gift for dinosaur researchers and dinosaur enthusiasts." You Hailu and four team members dug up the wet soil, carefully took out pieces of dinosaur fossils of different sizes, and fixed them with glue and plaster. "After the fossils are exposed, they should be treated against the wind. A sketch map of the fossils should be drawn on the site, and first-hand research data should be retained. During the excavation process, we will fix and pack the fossils, and transport the fossil packages to the Lufeng Dinosaur Fossil Science Popularization Education Base warehouse for storage, which will be repaired, studied, and mounted in the future." On December 28, 2022, the Department of Natural Resources of Yunnan Province announced in the Dinosaur Valley of Lufeng City that the rescue excavation and protection of dinosaur fossils found in Chuxiong Prefecture in recent years would be carried out by the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
