It is expected that with the efforts of all parties, Hong Kong will usher in a more prosperous 2023. To this end, the Hong Kong SAR Government has set two goals. Li Jiachao said that the first goal is to fully restore the life of citizens to the normal situation before the epidemic. With the optimization of epidemic prevention measures by the government, economic activities will resume rapidly, consumer demand is expected to rise a lot, and all walks of life are optimistic about the prospects. Hong Kong will shine again on the international stage with the advantages of relying on the mainland and connecting the world. With regard to the second goal, Li Jiachao said that the SAR government would make every effort to implement the work proposed in the policy address, enhance the momentum of development, solve the problems of people's livelihood, build a healthy, vibrant, caring and livable Hong Kong, and promote youth development and education to achieve a new leap. He Yicheng pointed out that 2023 is the 30th anniversary of the promulgation of the Basic Law of the Macao Special Administrative Region and an important historical node. Multiple positive factors for Macao's development are emerging. He said that the SAR government will fully and accurately implement the principle of "one country, two systems", firmly safeguard national sovereignty, security and development interests, effectively grasp national development opportunities in accordance with the overall direction of governance, and make good use of the policies and measures of the central government to support Macao's development. We will better coordinate epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development, focus on promoting economic recovery, actively improve people's livelihood, accelerate the moderately diversified development of the economy and the construction of the Shenzhen Cooperation Zone, better integrate into the overall national development situation, give full play to our own advantages and characteristics, effectively solve the deep-seated contradictions and problems in economic and social development, and strive to create a new situation in the practice of "one country, two systems" with Macao characteristics.
