The election of deputies to the 14th National People's Congress of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region was held yesterday (15 days), with 42 candidates competing for 36 seats. Chief Executive Li Jiachao announced that 1273 ballots were issued and 1273 ballots were withdrawn in today's election. The two ballots are equal.
