China Successfully Launches Gaofen No.5 01A Satellite

At 2:31 on December 9, China used the Long March 2DD carrier rocket in Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, successfully launched Gaofen 501A satellite. The satellite successfully entered the scheduled orbit, and the launch mission was a complete success. Gaofen No.5 01A satellite is mainly oriented to major needs such as pollution reduction, environmental quality supervision, atmospheric composition monitoring, natural resource survey, climate change research, etc. It carries out hyperspectral remote sensing monitoring applications, and provides data services and support for national departments (fields) such as environmental protection, land, meteorology, agriculture, disaster reduction, water conservancy, forestry, oceans, surveying and mapping.
