"Comprehensively improving the road environment" is one of the ten practical things for people's livelihood in Zhongshan City this year. Recently, Zhongshan City announced the progress of this work. Up to now, the city has built, renovated and upgraded more than 200 bus shelters, added more than 700 parking spaces, optimized and improved 14 traffic congestion nodes, and further optimized the traffic conditions of citizens. In addition, Zhongshan will renovate more than 6000 on road parking spaces in the urban area this year, and adjust them to time limited parking spaces to improve road traffic capacity. The comprehensive improvement of Zhongshan's road environment focuses on the optimization of public parking space resources, traffic congestion management and traffic safety. In terms of public parking spaces, Zhongshan, on the one hand, has increased the supply of public parking spaces, implemented the public air defense project in Zimaling Park and Arboretum, two municipal parks, and added more than 700 underground parking spaces. In the future, it will also build parking lots near Guangming Bridge in Shiqi, and other projects. It is estimated that more than 400 public parking spaces will be added in the central urban area; On the other hand, the existing stock of public parking spaces has been improved. 6046 parking spaces on 144 main and secondary roads in the urban area have been adjusted to time limited parking spaces to further regulate on road parking and return to traffic.
