It is not only one of the largest intelligent computing data center clusters with the highest power density in China, but also selected as the National Green Data Center in 2020 by virtue of the successful application of hundreds of self-developed energy-saving technologies. Compared with the traditional data center, the green data center has the characteristics of less resource consumption, high energy utilization and strong operation and maintenance level. With the continuous growth of China's data center scale and total energy consumption, the green development of data center has become an important part of industrial green development. "In recent years, China has actively promoted the improvement of energy efficiency of data centers, successively created three batches of 153 national green data centers, and achieved positive results in green and low-carbon transformation and upgrading." The energy efficiency level of the data center continues to improve. The average power utilization efficiency (PUE) of the National Green Data Center in 2021 has decreased to 1.3. At present, the average design power utilization efficiency of the large and above data centers under construction has dropped to 1.3. The pace of green transformation of energy utilization was accelerated. The average utilization rate of renewable energy power in the National Green Data Center has increased from 15% in 2018 to more than 30% at present through market-based green power trading and the construction of distributed renewable energy power stations in line with local conditions. In Lingqiu County, the energy information technology industrial base around the capital Taihang Mountain adopts the "base direct power supply" mode agreed by local power generation and distribution enterprises, energy storage power stations and Qinhuai Data to achieve 100% green power application. In Yizheng, Jiangsu, Tencent Yizheng Dongsheng Cloud Computing Data Center has built a distributed photovoltaic power generation system on the roof of the computer room, with a total installed capacity of about 13,000 kilowatts, and the annual consumption of renewable energy power exceeds 12.1 million kilowatt hours. As the carrier of computing power required for data processing, the data center has become the key infrastructure to support digital transformation and development. In order to further guide the efficient, low-carbon, intensive and circular development of China's data centers, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, together with the National Development and Reform Commission and other departments, recently launched the 2022 recommendation of national green data centers. It is planned to select a group of data centers with high energy efficiency, green and low-carbon, reasonable layout, advanced technology, and sound management in key application fields such as production and manufacturing, telecommunications, the Internet, and public institutions A representative national green data center.
