Production and sales recovered steadily. From January to September, the added value of light industry increased 4.0% year on year. The light industrial consumer goods market continued to maintain a steady recovery. From January to September, the retail sales of ten categories of light industrial goods reached 5004.6 billion yuan, accounting for 15.9% of the total retail sales of consumer goods, up 2.6% year on year. Since June, the retail sales of ten categories of light industry commodities resumed positive growth, the growth rate has been maintained at about 5% for four consecutive months. Exports increased steadily. From January to September, the export of some light industrial commodities maintained a rapid growth. The total export volume of eight key commodities of light industry was 362.01 billion US dollars, up 6.6% year on year. The scale of investment continued to expand. In 2022, the scale of fixed asset investment in major light industries will continue to expand on the basis of the steady recovery of the previous year.
