On November 5, 2022, the "Third Forum on Business Management Philosophy and Organizational Ecology and the Award Ceremony for Li Zhanxiang's Excellent Thesis in Management Philosophy" was successfully held in Nanjing. The forum was conducted online and offline. Nearly 300 experts, scholars and entrepreneurs from domestic and foreign universities, research institutes and enterprises participated in the forum and conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on management academic and practical experience. With the theme of "management ethics and organizational development in the new era", the forum aims to promote enterprises to actively assume the social responsibilities entrusted by the new era and realize the sustainable development of social economy and enterprises. Professor Liu Chunlin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing University Business School, presided over the opening ceremony of the forum. Professor Yang Zhong, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing University, Shang Zengjian, Chief Editor of Management World magazine, Professor Ye Kangtao, Dean of Renmin University of China Business School, and Professor Wang Yuetang, Vice Dean of Nanjing University Business School delivered speeches respectively for the forum and the award ceremony. Professor Yang Zhong pointed out that Nanjing University Business School has a deep relationship with Professor Li Zhanxiang. Professor Zhou Sanduo, the old dean of Nanjing University Business School, once learned from Professor Li Zhanxiang, and most of the teachers in Nanjing University Business School have been trained or guided by Professor Li Zhanxiang. Modern management scholars should inherit the academic spirit of the older generation of management scholars, promote the development and application of management with Chinese characteristics from a philosophical perspective, closely follow the needs of national economic development, and apply research results to the construction of Chinese path to modernization. Shang Zengjian, the chief editor of Management World, pointed out that the magazine had long been concerned about the study of management philosophy. Under the background of comprehensively promoting modernization, management scholars need to combine modern management ideas with China's excellent traditional culture, deeply explore and solve the management problems emerging in Chinese enterprises in the new era, and enhance the academic confidence of China's management research. Professor Ye Kangtao pointed out that the business administration major of Renmin University of China has always adhered to Marxism and the Chinese style management path, actively accelerated the construction of an independent management system, and worked hard to promote the combination of management research and Chinese traditional culture, so as to help the high-quality development of China's economy and Chinese enterprises. Professor Wang Yuetang, on behalf of all teachers and students of Nanjing University School of Management, extended a warm welcome to the participants and introduced in detail the major setting and school running level of Nanjing University School of Management. Professor Wang Yuetang pointed out that the School of Management of Nanjing University has always attached importance to promoting the development of Chinese management theory and the promotion of international academic discourse, carrying forward the academic spirit of the older generation of management scientists, and cultivating talents and contributing to the development of Chinese management. Researcher Huang Sujian, President of China Enterprise Management Research Association, presided over the award ceremony. Professor Deng Ziliang, Vice Dean of Business School of Renmin University of China, gave a detailed introduction to the awarding methods and standards of the "Li Zhanxiang Excellent Thesis Award for Management Philosophy" (including the Youth Thesis Award). Professor Yang Zhong, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing University, Professor Chen Chuanming, former Secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing University Business School, Professor Liu Chunlin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing University Business School, Ma Heshan, Vice President of Baomao Group, and Wang Wei, the disciple representative of Professor Li Zhanxiang, presented awards to the award-winning authors of "Li Zhanxiang's Young Thesis Award for Management Philosophy" and "Li Zhanxiang's Excellent Thesis Award for Management Philosophy" respectively.
