From January to September this year, 299 new expressway and ordinary national and provincial highway projects were launched nationwide, with a total mileage of 9645 kilometers and a total investment of 882.6 billion yuan. Among them, 34 major projects were started in September, with a construction mileage of 2132km and an investment of 385.3 billion yuan, accounting for about 43.7% of the total investment in projects started this year. From January to September, 337 projects of expressways and ordinary national and provincial roads were completed nationwide, with a total mileage of 9756 kilometers and a total investment of 557.4 billion yuan. Among them, 41 major projects were completed in September, with a construction mileage of 1441 km and an investment of 125.1 billion yuan. Since this year, new progress has been made in the construction of a number of major highway projects. A number of major highway projects, such as the reconstruction and expansion project of Jinhua Zhejiang Jiangxi section of Shanghai Kunming Expressway and the expansion project of Nankang Longnan section of Dazhou Guangzhou Expressway in Jiangxi, have been completed and opened to traffic. A number of major projects including the longest distance, the largest section and the highest speed underwater shield tunnel in China - Haitai River Crossing Channel in Jiangsu Province, and the reconstruction and expansion project of Changfu Jinyushi (boundary between Jiangxi and Hunan) section of Shanghai Kunming Expressway in Jiangxi Province were started.
