The 24th Meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th National Committee of the CPPCC concluded in Beijing on the morning of the 2nd, and Wang Yang, Chairman of the CPPCC, presided over the closing meeting and delivered a speech. Wang Yang stressed that studying and implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) is the top political task of the CPPCC at present and in the future. It is necessary to make efforts to comprehensively study, grasp and implement the spirit, learn to thoroughly understand the new ideas and new judgments, new deployment and new requirements made at the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and learn political firmness, historical confidence, mission responsibility and ability level. Wang Yang pointed out that the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), focusing on changes in international and domestic situations and based on the historical position of China's development, defined the central task of the CPC in the new era and new journey. We should accurately grasp the Chinese characteristics, essential requirements, and major principles of Chinese path to modernization, deeply understand the historical origin, theoretical logic, practical characteristics, and strategic deployment of Chinese path to modernization, and firmly adhere to the confidence and determination of Chinese path to modernization to comprehensively promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, so as to contribute wisdom and strength to building a socialist modernization power in all respects. Wang Yang stressed that unity and struggle are the source of strength and the only way to complete the central task of the Party in the new era and new journey and achieve the second century goal. The CPPCC is born of unity, survives by unity, and thrives by unity, shouldering the important mission of cohesion for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. We should adhere to the organic combination of the Party's leadership, the united front and consultative democracy, adhere to the two-way efforts of promoting democracy and enhancing unity, and provide advice for government and consensus building, strengthen the institutionalization, standardization, and procedural construction of the special consultative bodies of the CPPCC, and promote more useful advice for government, more effective consensus building, and more effective unity building, so as to bring together the strong forces of the Chinese people at home and abroad to work together. The meeting passed the Resolution of the Standing Committee of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference on Studying and Implementing the Spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, and the Decision of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference on Partial Revision of the Constitution of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. The meeting adopted the decision on removing Comrade Gao Bo from the post of Deputy Secretary General of the 13th CPPCC National Committee. The meeting confirmed the decision to revoke Qian Lizhi's qualification as a member of the 13th CPPCC National Committee. Before the closing meeting, Zhou Jianping, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chief designer of China's manned space program, was invited to give a lecture entitled "Promoting the Millennium Flying Dream - Development and Outlook of China's Manned Space Program", and interacted with Zhai Zhigang, a special astronaut of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Astronauts Brigade, and the Standing Committee members.
