On October 13, the staff of Hengshan National Nature Reserve, Nanyue, Hunan, released 40 adult white crested long tailed pheasants that had been trained in the wild. The white crested long tailed pheasant is an endemic bird in China, which is distributed in the mountainous areas of central and northern China and is listed as a first-class protected animal in the National Key Protected Wildlife List of China. It is reported that silver pheasant, golden pheasant with red belly and other rare pheasants were released this time. (The staff released the white crowned long tailed pheasant.)
