The opening ceremony of the 2022 World Skills Competition Special Tournament in South Korea was held in Gaoyang, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea on the 12th. More than 130 players from 34 countries and regions will participate in eight events in this area. The competition in South Korea will start on the 13th and end on the 16th, with 8 projects including mobile application development, 3D digital game art, website design and development. Among them, Chinese players will compete in 6 events. David Hoy, CEO of the World Skills Organization, said in his speech at the opening ceremony that although this competition is a special event, the contestants are skilled and enthusiastic. They will demonstrate high-level technical knowledge through the competition, and their ability to analyze, solve problems and adapt to changes will also be tested. The World Skills Competition is known as the "World Skills Olympics", and its competitive level represents the world's advanced level of vocational skills development today. The special events of the 2022 World Skills Competition will be held in 15 countries from mid September to late November, with a total of 62 events. This competition is the official competition of the World Skills Competition, which will be the alternative activity of the 46th World Skills Competition in Shanghai in 2022.
